Pregnancy Brazilian waxing & sugaring at Smooth by Adina Skin

Pregnancy can make regular grooming feel harder, especially once your bump grows and visibility becomes limited. A professional Brazilian can help you feel tidy and comfortable without having to manage the area yourself.

Pregnancy can also make the skin more reactive. Appointments are performed with flexibility and care, which may include changing position, working in smaller sections, slowing the pace or taking short pauses whenever needed.

Pregnancy Brazilian care has its own dedicated booking category. Choose Pregnancy Brazilian, First Ever / Extra Time, or Late Pregnancy / Birth Preparation depending on your regrowth, experience and stage of pregnancy.

Every pregnancy is different.

Your appointment is adjusted to your stage of pregnancy, comfort level and how you feel on the day.

  • Pillows and wedges can support the belly and knees.
  • Treatment can be completed in smaller sections for comfort.
  • Breaks can be taken at any time.
  • Positions can be changed if you feel pressure, dizziness or discomfort.
  • After around 20 weeks, long periods flat on the back are avoided.

If you have pregnancy complications or medical concerns about waxing, please check with your midwife, obstetrician or maternity provider before requesting an appointment.

Which option should I book?

Pregnancy appointments have their own booking category. Choose the option that best matches your stage of pregnancy, regrowth and whether this is your first Brazilian. Wax or sugaring is selected after assessing your hair, skin and comfort on the day.

Brazilian

For regular Brazilian clients and earlier pregnancy when standard appointment time is suitable.

30 min · $65

First Ever Brazilian / Extra Time

Choose this for your first-ever Brazilian, longer regrowth, nervousness or whenever extra treatment time is helpful.

40 min · $85

Late Pregnancy Brazilian

Recommended later in pregnancy and for birth preparation, with additional time for supportive positioning, sensitivity and comfort.

40 min · $85

If you are unsure, choose Late Pregnancy Brazilian when you would benefit from extra time. Adina can adjust the treatment method after your skin and hair assessment.

Positions used

Comfort-focused positioning during pregnancy

Left side-lying

Lie on your left side with knees bent. Pillows can support the belly and sit between the knees for comfort.

Side-lying with buttock lift

While lying on your side, you may gently lift the top buttock cheek to allow access to the back area.

Switching sides

We can begin on one side and then gently switch to the other side to complete the treatment comfortably.

Elevated / semi-reclined

The treatment bed can be elevated rather than keeping you flat, especially later in pregnancy.

Modified one-knee-up

One leg can be positioned at a time, only as far as is comfortable for access.

Comfort comes first

No single position is forced. The setup can be adjusted throughout the appointment depending on trimester and comfort.

Helpful for first-timers

First pregnancy Brazilian tips

Tell Adina how far along you are.
This helps plan positioning and timing for comfort.
Allow enough regrowth.
Avoid shaving immediately before the appointment. Around two weeks of regrowth is often useful after shaving.
Wear loose clothing.
Soft underwear and loose clothes can feel more comfortable afterwards.
Expect extra sensitivity.
Hormonal changes and increased blood flow can make the skin feel more tender than usual.
Book the longer option when needed.
First-time treatment or long, coarse regrowth is usually more comfortable when extra time is allowed.
Helpful for returning clients

Maintenance & birth preparation

Regular maintenance is often easier.
Shorter, manageable regrowth can make appointments feel more comfortable than waiting too long.
Birth-preparation timing is personal.
Allow enough time before your expected due date for the skin to settle and so the appointment does not feel rushed.
Comfort can change week to week.
A position that felt fine at one appointment may need adjusting at the next.
Breaks are always allowed.
Late-pregnancy appointments may include more pauses or smaller treatment sections.
Tell Adina how you feel on the day.
Pressure, reflux, pelvic discomfort or tiredness can all affect positioning and pace.
Wax or Sugar?

The method is chosen for your hair, skin and comfort.

You do not need to decide between wax and sugar before arriving. Your hair length, density, skin and sensitivity are assessed and the most suitable professional method is chosen.

Hair length matters

Sugaring generally works best with around 5 mm or more of hair growth. Professional LYCON and CaronLab waxes can remove shorter hair from around 2 mm. Coarse or recently shaved hair may be better suited to professional wax until the regrowth becomes more suitable for sugaring.

Pregnancy Brazilian aftercare

  • Keep the area clean and avoid unnecessary touching during the first day.
  • Avoid very hot showers, baths, spas, saunas, swimming and strenuous exercise while the skin is freshly treated.
  • Avoid fragranced products, strong active skincare and heavy exfoliation until the skin has settled.
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce friction.
  • Begin gentle exfoliation only once the skin has settled, usually after about 48 hours, to help reduce ingrown hairs.

Pregnancy FAQ

Pregnancy Brazilian questions

Can I have a Brazilian while pregnant?

Many clients continue waxing or sugaring during pregnancy. Pregnancy can increase sensitivity, so the pace, technique and positioning are adjusted. If you have a pregnancy complication or medical concern, ask your maternity provider before requesting an appointment.

Will it feel more sensitive during pregnancy?

It can. Hormonal changes and increased blood flow may make hair removal feel stronger than usual. Maintenance appointments are often easier than a first appointment or long regrowth.

What position will I be in?

Depending on your stage of pregnancy and comfort, treatment may use side-lying, semi-reclined and modified positions. You will not be expected to remain in a position that feels uncomfortable.

How close to my due date can I book?

There is no single ideal day for everyone. For later pregnancy or birth preparation, select Late Pregnancy Brazilian so extra time is reserved for positioning and comfort. Allow enough time for the skin to settle and for birth plans to change.

Which Intimate Waxing option should I choose while pregnant?

Choose Brazilian for regular maintenance when standard appointment time is suitable. Choose First Ever Brazilian / Extra Time for a first-ever Brazilian, longer regrowth or when you need more time. Choose Late Pregnancy Brazilian later in pregnancy or for birth preparation.

How should I prepare?

Avoid shaving immediately before the appointment, wear loose comfortable clothing, tell Adina how far along you are, and mention any changes in sensitivity or pregnancy comfort.

What if I feel dizzy or uncomfortable?

Tell Adina immediately. The appointment can be paused, your position changed or the treatment stopped if necessary.

Is sugaring always better than wax during pregnancy?

No. Sugaring needs more hair length, while professional wax can work better on shorter or coarser regrowth. The method is selected after assessing your hair, skin and comfort on the day.
